Deirdre is a minister, teacher, and author who is passionate about helping people experience a transformative life with God.
As a teenager, Deirdre discerned a call to ministry that has unfolded in greater clarity through the years – to equip God’s people and help them grow to maturity (Ephesians 4:12-13).

This calling has found its expression in a variety of venues but always with a common thread – to help followers of Jesus experience a more abundant life with God and learn to access His transforming power to be the persons He created them to be.
Deirdre has served in ministry roles in three churches in the areas of worship and spiritual formation. She has also taught on the faculty of two universities and two seminaries in the areas of Church History and Spiritual Formation. She has had the special privilege of being a guest professor several times for Northeast African Theological Seminary in South Sudan.
She is the author of The Spiritual Legacy of Henri Nouwen which explores the life and work of one who significantly shaped American spirituality in the 20th century. Deirdre has also spoken at conferences and

She serves as a consultant in soul care for church staff and non-profit organizations and is beginning a practice in spiritual direction for individuals and groups.
He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we

Colossians 1:28-29
Some of the most influential people in her life have been Dallas Willard, Ruth Haley Barton, Richard Foster, Robert Mulholland, Jr. and Henri Nouwen.
She is married to John, a pediatric surgeon, and lives in the Dallas area. She enjoys reading, hiking, jigsaw puzzles, watching British mysteries, and cycling. Though John and Deirdre have no children, they have a Pied Cockatiel, Niki, who has them very well trained!
