PROFILE
I
have been in the health and wellness field since first becoming
a personal trainer in 1995. Due to my work with a family who hired
me to create activity plans for their father afflicted with Alzheimers,
I began to receive referrals from clients requiring a variety of
fitness coaching for special situations or events. I soon realized
that what I most enjoyed about my fitness career was providing one-on-one
motivation and encouragement to my clients. Assisting people to
achieve new levels of performance of which they had not thought
themselves capable brought me great fulfillment and pride.
As
my clients progressed toward and reached their physical goals, they
often raised the bar and aimed for new goals, achievements, and
behaviors. I was regularly asked to assist in those areas as well.
As a result, my work began to shift from a sole focus on fitness
goals to being a resource and a support figure. My enjoyment of
fitness became a passion to help affect a positive change in others.
To further that mission, I earned a Masters degree in Public
Health with an emphasis on social and behavioral science and focused
on planning, coordinating, and implementing community health programs.
TLMS
is a concept and company born from those experiences. It is based
on my passionate belief that many common daily decisions we overlook
can affect our health. The choices we make about how we manage the
demands on our time will either bring us negative stress or positive
pleasures. I take great satisfaction in helping others make plans
and choices that help them achieve their goals and also live better
overall. I feel fortunate that so many clients have entrusted me
with their dreams and been willing to accept my guidance. |
